Initially, the work was entrusted to Vasily Ivanovich Denisov and his son, but due to the father’s illness, the work was actually carried out by his son, Vladimir Vasilyevich.
On September 16, 1918, by a decree of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee, the Order of the RSFSR “Red Banner” was established to award the most distinguished soldiers and commanders of the Red Army.
