Painting “V. I. Lenin and Manifestation”

In 1919 a competition of artistic works on the theme “the Great Russian revolution” was organized in Petrograd. One of the tasks of the competition was to create a representative portrait of the Head of the Soviet State.
The painting «V.I. Lenin and Manifestation » by I. Brodsky was awarded the main prize at the competition and became the first work of the artist on the historical-revolutionary theme to receive public recognition.
