In 1924, the Institute of V.I. Lenin began to publish “Lenin’s Collections” in which “Chronicle” section they used to inform about the materials coming to the Museum Department and their sources. So, in “Leninsky collection” No. 1 it was reported about the transfer of the gold medal of V.I. Lenin from Gokhran by N.N. Krestinsky. This is so far the only confirmation that it was given by V.I. Lenin to the Fund of relief for starving in the Volga region.
